I have a question for you.
Are you in a Success Environment?
Let me explain.
Perhaps you’re an entrepreneur. Or a stay at home Mom. Or an employee, a CEO, a dogwalker, a nanny, a baker, a banker….you get the idea.
Whatever you do, you want to be successful, right? You want to feel like you’re reaching your goals, moving forwards, and making strides. You want to know that you have the right systems in place for success. You want to be sure that you are working smarter, not harder, and reaping the benefits of your work.
If you aren’t experiencing maximum benefits, if you feel like there’s more out there for you but you just aren’t sure how to get it, then you might not be in a success environment.
Because here’s the deal:
The Environment Always Wins.
Whatever environment you’re in at the moment, it will win. If you are going it alone – the lone wolf syndrome – or if you are surrounded by people who don’t ‘get’ what you’re doing, don’t support you, and perhaps even try to hold you back – you won’t get where you want to go.
You’ll spin your wheels and stay in a place of frustration and stagnation.
You’re just like the girl in this picture. Shining your light, doing your best, hoping to get noticed: And nobody cares.
Nobody sees you, or understands the value of your work.
You’re alone.
If you truly want success and want to realize your biggest dreams, you’re gonna have to change your environment.
You need to surround yourself with the right kind of people.
I know because this happened to me.
I was working hard to build my business, doing ‘all the right things’, but ultimately I was trying to figure it all out myself. I knew I had to do some inner work to overcome my limiting beliefs, fears and self doubt, but I thought I could do that by reading books.
Guess what? It didn’t work.
It didn’t work because I wasn’t in a success environment.
I hired a Coach who supported me, held me accountable, told me the hard truths, and gave me strategies that worked.
I took a Business Course that taught me the exact strategies I needed to implement for success. I was given support, training and encouragement.
I began hanging around with people who ‘got’ me, who cheered me on and celebrated with my success. There’s no competition and we truly want each other to be successful. I can shine bright and my people love it and aren’t threatened by my shininess.
If you really want success, you need to invest in yourself.
Hire a Coach. Take a course. Find friends who ‘get’ you.
It takes support, guidance, and strategies to get there, and hiring the right people will fast track you to where you want to be. Build your Success Team so you can stop spinning your wheels and experience momentum.
Like I said, the environment always wins.
Change your environment to a Success Environment, and watch your life change!
I love this piece. It’s so true that your environment effects not only your work, but how others see you and how you feel about yourself! Can’t wait to read more posts 🙂
Thanks Brooke!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Great post, Valerie! Sooo true, it all changed for me the minute I started working with a coach and engaging in a mastermind group. I used to get stuck inside my head all the time, so having someone there is worth its weight in gold!
Hi Valerie,
Our energetic environment pulls us in a similar direction. We become what energy we be, and the environment around us has a heavy influence on our being. Even Jesus hung out with apostles 😉 Seek out like energies. Surround yourself with awesome, uplifting folks and feed your mind with the best books, and of course, tune out all the lower energy stuff like the news.
Fab tips.
Ryan
